B6 notebooks are typically 5 x 7 inches (128 x 182 mm). They are larger than an A6 pocket notebook, but smaller than an A5 "regular" size. They are similar in size to a greeting card you might find at the grocery store (A7 card size - which is a completely different, yet confusingly similar numbering system!).
B6 is a popular journal size, due to it conveniently fitting in a coat pocket or small bag, but still giving you plenty of room to write.
What do all these letters and numbers mean? Notebook sizes typically fall into two global systems: the ISO 216 A-series (A4, A5, A6, A10, etc) and the Japanese JIS B-series (B6, B7, B4, etc). There are some outliers such as traveler's size, passport, and pocket. Plus some makers simply create their own size based on their country's standard or available materials/printing process.
